Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day. {Minnesota | Unique, Creative Portrait Photographer}

Tomorrow shall be my dancing day;
I would my true love did so chance
To see the legend of my play,
To call my true love to my dance...

Lovely. {Minneapolis St. Paul} Senior Photographer

Really, there's not much more to say.  The title says it all.

Well, except for one thing.  Not only is she pretty, sweet, and a wonderfully talented pianist... she's an incredible circus performer.

You weren't expecting me to say that, were you?

Well, she is.  She's been at it since the age of six.  It's amazing and breathtaking to watch.

Pretty.

And pretty cool, too.

Simple Things.

At times a photographer forgets to take shots of the every day things. To help us remember these important shots of real life, a group of photographers that I am involved with have decided to start a little blog series called "The Simple Things." Every month we will photograph one of those simple moments in our lives. (Here are my previous posts for AprilMarchFebruary, and January.) At the end of the month we each will make a blog post and share our stories. At the bottom of each blog post will be a link to another photographer in the group so you can share her story, forming a complete circle of stories. I hope you will enjoy these posts of "The Simple Things."

THE SIMPLE THINGS. CONVERSATIONS WITH MY CHILDREN.

This month I interviewed both of my boys and recorded their answers to save for all eternity.  I love to know what is going on in those agile, amazing minds of theirs.   And now, you get to know, too.

First up is my youngest fella.  I asked him a set of questions and here is what he told me.  I wrote down exactly what he said, word for word.

How old are you?  I'm four.

What is your favorite food?  Peanut Butter Crunch!

What is your favorite video?  Science Guy!!!

What is your favorite book?  Papa, Please Get the Moon.

Who is your favorite friend?  Mama.

What is your favorite thing to do?  Play cars.

What do you want to do when you grow up?
I don't want to do anything.  Oh, wait.  I just want to do computer.

What are you good at doing?  Spraying water with the hose.

If you could have a pet, what kind would it be?  A cat.  A brown one, named Tiger the Cat.  I would give him some pet food.

Are you still a baby?  Yes!  I'm still a baby!!

Are you a big boy?  YES!!

What makes you sad?
 When my foot hurts.

What makes you happy? A Band-aid!!

I asked some different questions of my oldest boy.  Here are his answers, exactly as he gave them to me.

How old are you?  Ten.

So, are you married?  N-O spells "no."

Good answer.  What do you like about being ten?  Well, I have two digits in my age... when you get up to two digits it's almost like being an adult.

Are you old enough to have a girlfriend? Maybe next year.

Um... N-O spells "NO."  Maybe when I'm twelve.

[Mother shakes head again.]  Maybe when I'm sixteen...?

What do you want to be when you grow up?  I want to be a guy that makes cool stuff like video games to sell.  I also want to build my own Legoland theme park.

What are you good at doing?  I am good at coming up with ideas!  And inventing things.  And designing things on my computer.

What famous historical figure(s) would you like to meet?  The Wright Brothers.

In your opinion, what are the best things that have ever been invented?  Airplanes, Legos and K'nex, and roller coasters!

What are you looking forward to most this summer?  Cool time, pool time!!!!!!!!

If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do?  I would pull pranks on my brother.  If people weren't letting me watch what they were doing, then when I became invisible I would sneak up on those people and talk to them, and they would think it was their brain.  I would freak people out.

What would you change about the world if you could?  People would know exactly what was going to happen to them in the future.  People would live a little bit longer then.
