Bridget. {Senior Photographer | Burnsville, Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN}

This was such a fun, lovely evening.  Bridget is such a wonderful, beautiful person, and a talented artist, to boot (scroll down for a sample of some of her fantastic work)!  I loved her quiet elegance.  I also loved her patience with me as I went completely nuts and shot photo after photo after photo of her (have I mentioned that I love variety?  And senior sessions?).

We used my photography studio in Burnsville, MN as a home base for our session and we had a gorgeous night for it.   The sunset over the field was breathtaking and created the perfect amount of drama for this artistic beauty.

Sweet and Simple. {Family Photography | Burnsville, Twin Cities, MN}

I just love this beautiful family.  I was so happy to get to see them again this year.  And I love toddlers.  Toddlers are just so... real.  So funny, and sweet, and honest.  And cute, no matter what they are doing.  This little sweetie was such a doll (again!) - it's so fun to see her growing up.  She is so adorable!

It's pretty much fall, now.  And I love fall, too.  This time, for their family portraits, we decided to keep it simple and sweet.  And simple and sweet is my favorite.  They came to my studio and we frolicked in the field out back.  The outfits she chose were just so perfect!

Mothers and Daughters {Family Photographer | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN}

Once again I had a wonderful time doing a portrait party for a mother-daughter retreat with The Soul Sisterhood.  Such a lovely group of mothers and daughters - there was a lot of love, laughter and... some fabulous chicken.  Chicken like I've never tasted before - I tell you, I get treated WELL by these folks!

Here is a sampling of images from my time with these beautiful families at South Fork Farm in Lester Prairie, Minnesota.

And the amazing, beautiful staff members who fed me great food and helped me find my glasses when they fell off my head and I didn't even notice... thank you for a fantastic evening!

Classical Beauty. {Portrait Photography | Twin Cities, MN}

Once again I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the classical composer, Dr. Kirsten Broberg.  Her music has been described in reviews as "stunning and picturesque."  Clearly her music is an extension of the composer herself!

We went beyond the concept of traditional musician headshots, and did a bit of everything during her portrait session.  We also had sun, we had rain, and we had dramatic indoor light.  It was an evening of adventure.  And here are the results - I love what we were able to do in just one session!  (I love her adorable dogs, too!  They are so incredibly cute and sweet.)

Family {Burnsville, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN | Family Portrait Photographer}

I love making new friends.  Like this little guy, right here.  He came to see me this week for some pictures.  And a whole lot of singing.  Airplanes.  Laughs.  And some really great conversation.

He also brought along his very nice mom and dad.

These were all done inside the natural light room at my photography studio in Burnsville, MN.  I really wanted to try creating a natural, homey feel, even though we were at the studio.

Then we stepped outside and played in the field out back.

If it's ok to say so... my sweet little pal here was the biggest fan I've ever had for my singing.  This was during verse 3,497 of "Surrey With the Fringe on Top" from Oklahoma.   He would sit, listen, sing along, dance a little, run to me, give me a hug, then RUN back to sit down, saying, "Do it again!!!"

Kindred spirit, right here.  And he gives the BEST tackle hugs.  I'll not soon forget our time together.  He was such a wonderful burst of sunshine.
