A Senior/Family Session {Family and Senior Photography | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN}

This session was for a senior guy and his family.  Now, I know it's hard to believe, but some teenage boys don't really want or (need) a full photography session with lots of personal attention and outfit changes.  (I know!  It was a shock to me, too!)  I think it's such a great idea to split the session time between the senior boy's shots and the full family.  That's what we did with this session, right at my studio, and it worked out perfectly.

I really enjoyed meeting this beautiful family.  We found out we have a lot in common, in particular the town where I grew up about 350 miles away - what are the odds? I love when that happens (and it seems to happen a lot to me for some reason.  The world works in wonderful ways.).  They all were so great to work with, and so relaxed and fun.

Meet this super athlete-engineer and his wonderful family.

Fun Studio Family {Child and Family Photography | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN}

This family was as fun as it gets.  We discovered a mutual love for show tunes and they threw out requests for me to sing.  (I'm proud to say that there were only two or three that I didn't know!)  During my little recital I took a few pictures, too.

They wanted a simple studio session to showcase their relationship as a family and their children's expressions and personalities.  I love doing that.  And now you can see why!

At the Lake {Child and Family Photography | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, Minnesota}

I got to push the "pause" button for a few days in the middle of a busy portrait season.  We all love to go to the lake and spend time as a family - it's the best.  I feel so relaxed just looking at these.  (But now I'm home... so the "fast forward" button is back on, and I've got a whole bunch of client work almost ready to share!)
