Dad and Daughter Headshots {Portrait Photography | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN}

Headshot sessions for actors are some of my favorites - I love the simplicity and I love the focus on a person's expression and connection, especially the light in their eyes.  This headshot session was double the fun, because it was for a dad AND his daughter.  They both perform frequently and are hoping to do some shows together in the future, too.

Dad here is a great friend of mine from way back.  Many years ago, in college, we shared a stage and those are some of the most fun memories I have!  Clearly his talent and sense of humor has been passed on to his daughter (and you should see her Irish dancing!).  We had such a great time shooting headshots and laughing all afternoon.  I only tripped over something once, which is pretty good for me, too.  And they both were amazing in front of the camera; I love how these turned out.

Beautiful family in the beautiful fall {Child and Family Photography | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN}

This is one of my oldest and dearest friends and her family.  I always love photographing them because they are so naturally sweet and cuddly together, so fun, so relaxed, and up for anything.  I can always count on them for a great mix of candid and posed pictures.

So this was a pretty rotten day.  (Outside, I mean.  It's always a GREAT day when you get to hang with your bestie.)  Since it was windy, chilly, cloudy, we started inside the studio, where it was warm.  And then we went to the lake.   And... then I started to think that maybe it wasn't such a great idea to do outside pictures at all.  But the night progressively got better and better, the wind died down, and then we had a lovely sunset.  And with the fall colors at their peak, and the kids happy to run around, and everybody cuddling...it ended up to be a beautiful session and I love how these turned out!

The A. Family {Family Photography | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN}

Yes, it's ANOTHER gorgeous fall family session!  I love happy families and I adore toddlers, and mild fall weather isn't too shabby, either.  So this day was pretty wonderful all around.  Little Miss here was so cute and sweet.  She and her parents spent a lot of time just walking around, exploring, playing and cuddling.

Four Fun Fall Families {Family Photography | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN}

These four beautiful families are all repeat clients of mine, but also they are all connected to one another in friendship.  So, they came up with the brilliant idea of scheduling a portrait party (basically like a day of mini-sessions) for all of them.  We lucked out with perfect weather, and it was such a fun day.  I love all of these families, and I love seeing their children grow up. And it was also really wonderful to see them all again this fall and find out what - and in a few cases, who! - is new this year.

The T. Family {Family Photography | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MM}

And the "T," in this case, stands for "terrific!"   This family was so sweet, so much fun, and so adorable.  Those two boys completely stole my heart.  I love meeting kindred spirits.
