At the Lake {Child and Family Photography | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, Minnesota}
I got to push the "pause" button for a few days in the middle of a busy portrait season. We all love to go to the lake and spend time as a family - it's the best. I feel so relaxed just looking at these. (But now I'm home... so the "fast forward" button is back on, and I've got a whole bunch of client work almost ready to share!)

This session was fun and lovely, and for so many reasons. This senior girl:
1) is beautiful
2) is every bit as sweet and kind as she is beautiful
3) is attending my alma mater, so that makes her extra awesome
4) drove all the way from Eau Claire, WI, just to do her senior photo shoot
5) is my kind of person, because she
6) wanted her session to be just like her: natural, pretty, sweet, and classic. And that's what I love to do.
I love when kindred spirits somehow find me via the magic of the universe, or the Internet, or however that happens. The fact that it does happen, again and again, makes me the luckiest, happiest person ever.

Lovely Diva {Headshot Portrait Photography | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN}
I love photographing opera singers. And so it makes me happy that I get to do it often! This session was made extra wonderful by this beautiful and fun mezzo-soprano right here. (Don't tell anyone, but even though I'm a soprano myself, I just love hanging out with mezzos. They are so cool.) She brought a closet full of beautiful dresses and we had the best time in and around my photo studio in Burnsville, MN.
