I love the simplicity of black and white, and I love visiting with a growing family.
Simple Things.
At times a photographer forgets to take shots of the every day things. To help us remember these important shots of real life, a group of photographers that I am involved with have decided to start a little blog series called "The Simple Things." Every month we will photograph one of those simple moments in our lives. (Here are my previous posts for March, February, and January.) At the end of the month we each will make a blog post and share our stories. At the bottom of each blog post will be a link to another photographer in the group so you can share her story, forming a complete circle of stories. I hope you will enjoy these posts of "The Simple Things."
THE SIMPLE THINGS. BURNIN' RUBBER: THE DIARY OF A FOUR-YEAR-OLD.
I have been very busy and tired lately, so this time we have a guest blogger. My youngest son has very kindly volunteered to fill in for me this month while I get caught up on other things. I'll be back next month.

Hi, everybody! Mom is really tired, so I said I would keep her blog up-to-date while she rests. I have no idea why she would be tired. Personally, I've never been tired.
I thought I would start by telling you a little bit about myself. Here's what you need to know: 1) I'm four. 2) I'm fast. 3) I'm fun.
So, here's a typical day for me.
I wake up every morning with a spring in my step.
I'm a turbo-charged, high-performance machine with precision tuning. I have no time for chit-chat. I require high-octane, specially formulated fuel to keep myself running smoothly.
I burn rubber.
Well, time to put on my racing stripes and get to work. I have a lot to get done in a day. Busy, busy, busy. Hurry! Hurry! Let's see, what should I do first? Run up the hill, or run down the hill? So many decisions to make in a day. The pressure can really get to a guy.
You'll notice that most pictures of me are of my back.
Once in awhile something catches my eye for a second. (Hi, Mom! Don't worry, I won't go too far.)
Would you like to see my flower?
Some people take time to smell the flowers. I like to take time to SPIN the flowers.
Apparently, it's time to go back into the house. Mom says I must be getting tired by now.
Like I said, I've never been tired before, so, I... *yawn* I'm not quite sure what she's... *yawn* talking about.
(Even in my dreams, I'm still burnin' rubber.)
