Simple Things.

Every month I update my blog series remembering the simpler moments in our life.  I hope you enjoy this latest story of "The Simple Things."  At the bottom of the post is a link to another photographer's story.

THE SIMPLE THINGS: THE LITTLE MAESTRO.

"You are the music, while the music lasts."  -T.S. Eliot

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!  Please welcome to the stage... the Maestro!  Enjoy his Fantasy Impromptu in the Key of J-Sharp, composed entirely on the spot.  The Maestro is a master of improvisation.
In his pre-concert talk, the Maestro explained to audience members that tonight's selection would be in a key and hand-position never before used.  The Maestro is an innovator.  (The Maestro's Mama has taught him to play his pieces in C position, but the Maestro is an ARTIST, not bound by the limitations of C position.)
Such flair!  Such passion!  Such vocal pyrotechnics!
Ritardando, decrescendo, and.... fine.

The Maestro bows deeply.   There is no time for an encore this evening.  It is the Maestro's bedtime.

Good night, and remember stop by the box office on your way out to secure your tickets for tomorrow's performance.

Now visit the wonderful photographer Shannon Stroubakis in The Woodlands, Texas!
