The Soul Sisterhood Retreat, December 2014: Comfort {Family Phototography | Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN}

"As a mother comforts her child, 
so will I comfort you;

I so love visiting this mother-daughter retreat once or twice a year and photographing these beautiful, loving ladies.  Again, our setting was South Fork Farm in Lester Prairie, and again, these mother-daughter pairs were wonderful and lovely.  The Soul Sisterhood Retreat is a ministry of St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church in Plymouth, MN and is run by the amazing and gifted Amanda Berger. 

This year's theme for the weekend retreat was "comfort."  I showed up on a coldish December day, and "comfort" was in full swing at the farm with these mothers and daughters.  I couldn't help but feel comforted myself, and the whole idea of "comfort" found its way into these portraits as well.
