Bridget. {Senior Photographer | Burnsville, Twin Cities, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN}

This was such a fun, lovely evening.  Bridget is such a wonderful, beautiful person, and a talented artist, to boot (scroll down for a sample of some of her fantastic work)!  I loved her quiet elegance.  I also loved her patience with me as I went completely nuts and shot photo after photo after photo of her (have I mentioned that I love variety?  And senior sessions?).

We used my photography studio in Burnsville, MN as a home base for our session and we had a gorgeous night for it.   The sunset over the field was breathtaking and created the perfect amount of drama for this artistic beauty.

Family {Burnsville, Minneapolis St. Paul, MN | Family Portrait Photographer}

I love making new friends.  Like this little guy, right here.  He came to see me this week for some pictures.  And a whole lot of singing.  Airplanes.  Laughs.  And some really great conversation.

He also brought along his very nice mom and dad.

These were all done inside the natural light room at my photography studio in Burnsville, MN.  I really wanted to try creating a natural, homey feel, even though we were at the studio.

Then we stepped outside and played in the field out back.

If it's ok to say so... my sweet little pal here was the biggest fan I've ever had for my singing.  This was during verse 3,497 of "Surrey With the Fringe on Top" from Oklahoma.   He would sit, listen, sing along, dance a little, run to me, give me a hug, then RUN back to sit down, saying, "Do it again!!!" 

Kindred spirit, right here.  And he gives the BEST tackle hugs.  I'll not soon forget our time together.  He was such a wonderful burst of sunshine.

Mother and Daughter {Family Portrait Photographer | Minneapolis St. Paul, Twin Cities, MN}

I love taking mother-daughter portraits.  I do them a lot, and the sweet bonds I get to see each time are so lovely.  These two were so much fun.  A lot of laughing happened this night, as you can see.

Still Life With Viola. {Stillwater, Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN | High School Senior Portrait Photographer}

It's no secret I love photographing musicians.  I also love photographing high school seniors.  When I get to do both at once... I'm in heaven.

We did this series in a beautiful, idyllic little spot a few miles outside Stillwater, MN.  It was so much fun!  Our beautiful senior model was a dream to work with, and serenaded us on her viola.  Thank you, Lovely Violist, for a wonderful senior portrait session!

Sunshine and Family {Family Photographer | Minneapolis St. Paul}

Spring came for one brief day this past weekend.  I had an indoor session scheduled with this family, who was together for Easter.  The forecast called for heavy clouds and temps on the cool side.  Well... we ended up outdoors in the beautiful sunshine.  I love that kind of "unexpected:" it was gorgeous outside, and even though it was wet and there was still snow on the ground, there was warmth in the air and in hearts.

I had such a wonderful time with this very loving and joyful extended family.

This spot right here on this bridge is a very special one because it is the place where this very nice guy proposed to this very lovely woman.  And here they are with their very adorable six-year-old twins.  I absolutely love when we can incorporate a meaningful place or thing into a photo session.

A Headshot Session {Portrait Photographer | Minneapolis St. Paul}

This headshot session for a local opera singer was so much fun.  Our goal was variety, and I think we achieved it!  I really like providing my headshot clients with as many looks as possible.  (I also like providing them with wine and smoked gouda.)  These were all done at my studio, in both natural and studio light, and then we also stepped out back for some outdoor shots at sunset.  (In the snow.  That is still a foot deep at the end of March.)
